HOFELE-Design GmbH, the automotive design and engineering business specialising in manufacturer–approved enhancement of Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs, has opened a new headquarters facility in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, Germany – right next door to the Mercedes-Benz factory. The first customer commission to roll out from its new base is a
‘HG Ultimate’, a highly bespoke reimagining of the legendary Mercedes-AMG G 63 performance SUV.
The new HOFELE facility brings all operations and processes in-house: from full vehicle strip-down and bodywork fabrication, to workshops for carbon and leather. The opening will allow the company to meet growing global demand for bespoke vehicle commissions and for the expanding range of HOFELE-Design styling products.
The ‘HG Ultimate’
Highlights of the ‘HG Ultimate’ include the rear-hinged ‘Coach Doors’, the full-length electric side steps (patented by HOFELE), individual rear VIP seating with centre console, and a comprehensive exterior styling package including 24-inch forged HOFELE alloy wheels.
The vehicle, which has been commissioned by a VIP customer, is finished in a high-gloss black with contrasting chrome exterior elements and the signature HOFELE Ultimate wheel arches, bumpers and front grille.
As always with HOFELE, the interior is a special place to be. The vehicle has been carefully retrimmed in leather and Alcantara, the striking Arancia Mira Mandarin colourway contrasting perfectly with the subdued black exterior.
Additional HOFELE enhancements included on this latest HG Ultimate include bespoke items such as the starlight ceiling interior lighting feature, luxury trimmed luggage compartment and lambswool mats for the interior. The exterior is further enhanced by the inclusion of LEDs mounted in the HOFELE front bumper and roof-mounted light bar.
Seven additional HG Ultimate commissions are currently in build at the new Sindelfingen facility, and deliveries on new orders are expected to be fulfilled by the summer of 2023.
HOFELE-Design is an official partner of Mercedes-Benz AG for tuning Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Base vehicles are supplied direct to HOFELE by Mercedes-Benz AG in the correct country-specific specifications, and completed cars are covered by the full manufacturer warranty. Current Mercedes-Benz owners can also ask HOFELE to apply exterior and interior styling enhancements to their existing car.
