Make a difference with Hampson Marketplace

The brand-new premium online auction for supercars, performance & classic cars, motorcycles and registrations that supports a children’s charity

Hampson’s has added a new premium online auction to its traditional, highly successful, saleroom auctions. Marketplace gives vendors a new way of selling supercars, performance and classic cars, motorcycles and registrations while also supporting a children’s charity. It’s all done with complete transparency, flat fees and no seller’s commission – and Hampson’s special launch offer gives 50% off entry fees for the first 50 consignments.

Vehicles and cherished registrations will be showcased to Hampson’s global audience 24/7 for seven days, giving fantastic exposure, further supported by listings on Hampson’s channels with The Saleroom, Bid Spotter and i-Bidder and promotion in Hampson’s e-newsletters and popular media channels. There’s no seller’s commission to pay – just a flat entry fee – and the 7% buyer’s premium makes Marketplace an attractive place to shop as well as to sell.

Hampson will split that 7% buyer’s premium, donating 1% of the hammer price of each lot to The Joshua Tree, a charity supporting families affected by childhood cancers. So each sale really will make a difference.

Marketplace is the perfect solution for those who feel that the traditional saleroom route isn’t for them, or who want to list their high-end car, bike or registration quickly, without waiting for the next physical auction date to roll round. Entry fees are £300 for cars, £200 for motorcycles and £100 for registrations, reducing to £250, £150 and £75 respectively for each additional car, bike or registration consigned to the same sale.

The entry fee covers vehicle storage and valeting at Hampson’s secure site in Cheshire, professional photography and catalogue description writing as well as the online sale listing.

Hampson’s Managing Director, Zach Hamilton, said: “Marketplace provides an alternative to our traditional saleroom auctions at magnificent venues including Bolesworth Castle and the Oulton Park Gold Cup, which will continue to remain an important part of our offering. The Hampson ethos is that everything should be transparent – what you see is what you pay. And this includes the charitable element of Marketplace; we will present a running total of the funds raised for The Joshua Tree and give regular updates on what those funds have been spent on. We’re delighted to be able to give our vendors a choice of how they sell with us, and we’re equally delighted that each sale will benefit such a very worthwhile charity.”

The first Marketplace auction will go live in early December. Hampson’s is currently accepting consignments, both to Marketplace and to its upcoming sale at Bolesworth Castle, which takes place on 24th November.  For further information or to consign a vehicle or registration to Marketplace, visit hampsonauctions.com/marketplace.
