Milton Keynes, 13-01-2025 –CUPRA blends its racing DNA with its design obsession to create a unique identity for the CUPRA KIRO Formula E Team. The brand’s challenger character is embodied by the new livery of the cars, officially presented at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit ahead of the Mexico City E-Prix.
“Design is part of everything we do at CUPRA and represents our winning attitude. We have created a unique and recognisable design for the CUPRA KIRO cars that will stand out on the track as we compete for top positions,” said Xavi Serra, Global Head of Racing at CUPRA. “Formula E merges emotion, competition and electric performance, values that we share and are represented by the cars.”
A prominent design
Inspired by the electrical conductivity of copper, the highest among all non-precious metals, the new livery shows CUPRA’s commitment to electrification and its racing DNA. CUPRA’s signature copper colour dominates the livery of the cars and is combined with Kiro’s corporate colour in a unique design that will distinguish the cars from competitors.
After a promising start by the young drivers in the first race of the season in Brazil, where the team offered a good performance and won their first points of the championship, CUPRA KIRO is aiming for more. Before the second race of the season in Mexico, Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann presented the new cars together with Xavi Serra, Global Head of Racing at CUPRA, and Alex Hui, Team Manager of CUPRA KIRO. The event, celebrated in front of the CUPRA KIRO Pit Garage at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, was also attended by CUPRA and Kiro Race Co. representatives and serves as a starting point of a year that will take Formula E racing to cities like Miami, Berlin, Monaco and London throughout 2025.
