The New Renault Master E-Tech has been named “Best Electric Van” at the 2025 DrivingElectric Awards, winning praise for both its driving dynamics and practical payload options.

On the popular website’s reasons for awarding the 100% electric version of the fourth-generation Master, Paul Barker, Editor of DrivingElectric, said: “The Renault Master E-Tech has more rivals now than when it first arrived, but a smooth driving experience and huge cargo volume make it as useful as ever.”

The sought-after award adds to the ever-increasing trophy cabinet of the new Renault Master. It follows the Master playing a significant role in Renault UK winning 53 awards in 2024 and the latest version being the current International Van of the Year.

The 100% electric Master E-Tech offers a class-leading range of up to 285 miles and also offers customers the ability to power tools and devices thanks to its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature. Its generous 87kWh battery powers a 105kW motor delivering 300Nm of torque, while a 130kW DC fast charger can add 142 miles of range to the Master E-Tech in just 39 minutes. A 22kW AC charger can take the battery from 10% to 100% in just under four hours.

It blends this efficiency and usability with a fresh, modern new look and a payload of up to 1,482kg together with a 2.5-tonne towing capability. The interior offers enhanced space and comfort with a refined passenger car-like feel and features, including a 10-inch OpenR Link touchscreen and the availability of Google built-in.

Advanced Aerovan aerodynamics also help optimise range, while up to 20 sophisticated driver assistance systems, including blind spot warning and pedestrian and cyclist collision warning, enhance safety and contribute to an improved driving experience.

Adam Wood, Managing Director, Renault UK, said: “The New Master E-Tech is the pinnacle of Renault’s electrified van range and it is great to see it continue its winning streak. It provides today’s business customers with an unrivalled package which blends car-like comfort and convenience with pure-electric efficiency and the capability of a class-leading large van.”
