9TH April 2025 – XPENG, a leading high-tech smart mobility company, has announced its global vehicle delivery result for March 2025 at 33,205 units, up 268% year-on-year. This result is the fifth consecutive month that the brand has exceeded 30,000 delivered vehicles. XPENG also announced the global rollout of its latest over-the-air (OTA) software update, XOS 5.6. This latest upgrade builds on XPENG’s legacy of intelligent driving innovation, delivering enhanced safety, personalised experiences, and critical optimisations for global users.
In the first quarter of 2025, XPENG delivered 94,008 units globally, topping the charts as the most successful EV start-up. In the UK market, 69,313 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) were registered in March 2025, an increase of 43.2% year-on-year and accounted for 19.4% of all vehicles registered according to the latest data published by the SMMT.
XOS 5.6 OTA Update: Enhancements and New Features
XOS 5.6 OTA showcases XPENG’s dedication to listening to its customers and consistently enhancing their experiences, with continued improvements in the pipeline for future releases. XPENG is forging ahead globally, setting new standards for the intelligent electric vehicle movement, which heralds an exciting new mobility era.
The upgraded Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) now significantly reduces unexpected deceleration, while Lane Centring Control (LCC) includes Smart Camera Calibration. This new feature automatically adjusts cameras to enhance lane-keeping accuracy, thereby improving lane-centring control. These advancements make driving safer and more stable.
Smarter Charging Station search in Europe
Drivers can now filter charging stations by network operator and plug type, while new pricing and site number details enable better cost and availability assessments. The innovative layer control feature visually highlights nearby charging points on maps, simplifying stop selection and options. Additionally, XPENG’s refined algorithm ensures more efficient charging station integration for extended trips.
The features are currently available in key European markets, including France, Germany, the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Czech, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Latvia, with expansion to additional countries planned for future updates.
