London, 22 May 2025  Ahead of this weekend’s [23-24 May] highly anticipated Investec Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup finals in Cardiff, OMODA&JAECOO UK, the Official Automotive Partner of EPCR, has unveiled new research that shows just how passionate – and determined – sports fans across the UK truly are.

According to a nationwide survey by OnePoll for OMODA&JAECOO UK, 36% of fans would travel 100 miles or more to watch their favourite team play – with 15% saying their team is based more than 150 miles from home.

As hundreds of thousands of fans plan to descend on Cardiff for the pinnacle of European club rugby this weekend, the research captures the sheer effort and emotion that goes into matchday – extending well beyond the final whistle.

The survey of 2,000 UK sports fans also revealed that two-thirds (66%) admit to having a pre-match ritual, whether that’s wearing team colours, sticking to the same pre-game meal or drink, or arriving at the stadium at an exact time – highlighting the deeply personal connection fans build with their team’s performance.
