Bicester, UK – 12 August 2025. Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, is continuing its UK expansion with the launch of its 14th retail Space in Aylesford, Maidstone. Opening its doors in the heart of one of Kent’s busiest and largest hubs, the new location now offers customers across the South East, including Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex, unparalleled access to Polestar’s electric vehicles, and an immersive experience aligned with the brand’s signature design, performance, and sustainability ethos.
At the new Space, visitors are now able to engage with Polestar specialists to learn more about the full range – including the Polestar 2 fastback, the Polestar 3 SUV, and the Polestar 4 SUV coupé. Test drives are available, and guests can explore the cars in a premium setting that reflects the brand’s minimalist, design-led approach. In line with existing Polestar retail Spaces, customers have the freedom to tailor their entire journey, from initial enquiry through to the delivery of their preferred Polestar model. The Space also offers options for deliveries to home or office addresses.
Maidstone’s thriving business scene and central Kent location make it the ideal home for Polestar’s newest UK presence. As one of the county’s fastest-growing towns, it attracts entrepreneurs, commuters, and sustainability-conscious drivers, creating a natural hub for EV innovation. With strong links across the South East, Maidstone is well-placed to lead the shift to electric mobility. The town has already implemented initiatives such as free parking for battery electric vehicles in council-operated car parks1, encouraging residents to make the switch to cleaner transportation options.
With 29 public EV charging points already installed in Maidstone, including 21 rapid chargers, the town is rapidly expanding its electric vehicle infrastructure with the aim of installing 600 public chargers points around Kent, making the switch even more attractive to the local driver.2
Attracting prospective Polestar drivers to a local Space, the opening serves as a new hub for the region’s existing customers, with facilities already in place to service Polestar vehicles.
