Bicester Motion: 14th August 2025
RADwood is the ultimate celebration of the cars and culture of the 1980s and 1990s – a time to celebrate the excess of the 80s and the day-glo of the 90s in one place. RADwood has the music, the fashion, the clichés and, of course, the car culture of these great decades and you don’t want to miss it.
Taking place in the grounds of Bicester Motion on Saturday 23rd August, guests can expect a festival of fabulous cars from the Eighties and Nineties, along with the music, fashion and entertainment of the time, and there are plenty of other reasons to come along.
Show and shine. The Show and Shine area will feature a relaxed showcase of RADwood-era cars, with vehicles judged alongside others from the 1980s and 1990s. Unique prizes will be awarded to standout entries chosen by the judges.
Sarah Champion. Absolute Radio’s Sarah Champion will provide the soundtrack to the day, playing classic tracks from the era.
Ghostbusters Ecto-1. The Ghostbusters Ecto-1 will be at Radwood, complete with our very own Ghostbusters. One lucky winner and up to two passengers will win a 15-minute passenger ride around Bicester. Anyone who purchases an entry ticket will be automatically entered to win.
Charlotte Vowden. On stage, Charlotte Vowden will join Paul Cowland to discuss the elements that make a car truly “RAD”, covering topics from wheels to paintwork. and of course, sound systems.
Ralli22 Demos. Rally car club Ralli22 will take to the Bicester circuit at 12 pm and 2 pm for live demonstrations, showcasing iconic rally cars from the 80s and 90s.
Rally Paddock. The Rally Paddock will display some of the most beloved rally machines of the period.
Best dressed award. RADwood 2025 embraces not only the cars but the broader culture of the 80s and 90s, from shoulder pads to shell suits, and grunge to Britpop. Cosplay is encouraged, and the Best Dressed award will recognise standout retro style on the day.
Hagerty Drivers Club Members Area – HDC members will kick off their day in style by catching a ride from the exclusive HDC Taxi Rank, where a fleet of “classic taxis” will whisk them straight to the Hagerty Clubhouse. Inside, nostalgia meets comfort with a well-stocked bar serving retro-inspired drinks, free snacks to keep the energy up, and unlimited access to a racing SIM and vintage arcade games.
In addition, drivers who arrive in a period-correct car will be able to park with other RAD cars in a dedicated display area, so bring your RAD cars along to be a part of the show.
General Admission tickets costs £25 per car. Full ticket information available here.
