- More refined, more powerful and more efficient, Qashqai with New e-POWER is better across the board – yet costs the same as the previous model
- Better fuel efficiency (+15%), reduced emissions (-12%) and increased service intervals (+3,000 miles) delivers everyday cost-savings for customers
- Production in Sunderland underway, arriving in UK showrooms in late August
London, UK (Monday 11th August 2025): Pricing is confirmed for the latest version the best-selling, British-built Qashqai crossover, now available with a new and significantly enhanced version of its unique electrified e-POWER powertrain.
And the good news is that even though Qashqai with New e-POWER delivers a host of benefits in terms of improved fuel efficiency, performance, refinement and emissions, the cost of buying one remains unchanged on most grades – falling slightly on two.
On-the-road prices of Acenta Premium, N-Connecta and Tekna+ are unchanged – while the N-Design and Tekna models have been reduced by £50.

What makes e-POWER unique is the wheels of the Qashqai are driven solely by a powerful electric motor, with an efficient 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine used purely to generate electricity and recharge the on-board battery – meaning drivers get to enjoy the refinement, instant response and smooth, linear acceleration of an EV, but with the convenience and familiarity of filling up at a petrol station.
And now, with this latest iteration of e-POWER, the Qashqai will offer customers an even more electrified feel behind the wheel, with major improvements across every key area:
- Fuel efficiency increases by 15% to 62.8mpg (WLTP), giving a potential range of 745 miles – meaning cost-savings from fewer visits to the pump to fill up
- CO₂ emissions decrease from 116g/km to 102g/km – a 12% reduction compared with the current iteration, which in turn means a lower VED banding
- Cabin noise is reduced by up to 5.6dB, meaning Qashqai with New e-POWER delivers even greater EV-like refinement – including on the motorway
- Power increases by 11kW to 151kW (up from 188bhp to 201bhp) in Sport Mode
- Service intervals increase from 9,000 to 12,000 miles, reducing the total cost of ownership for customers
Production of Qashqai with New e-POWER has already begun at Nissan’s record-breaking Sunderland plant, where 4.5 million Qashqais have been built since 2006 – an average of a car every two-and-a-half minutes for 19 years – and the first examples will arrive in Nissan showrooms across the UK from late August.
James Taylor, Managing Director of Nissan GB said “We are tremendously excited to bring the latest version of our incredible e-POWER technology to UK customers – and we’re very proud it’s being built right here in the UK.
“Now with significantly improved fuel efficiency, refinement, performance and emissions – delivered at no extra cost to customers – we are confident that the multi-award-winning Qashqai e-POWER will continue to be one of the UK’s most popular cars.’’
