First premium online auction for supercars, performance & classic cars,
motorcycles and registrations
runs from 24 to 31 January

The first sale in Hampson’s new premium online auction offering, Marketplace, goes live this Friday, 24 January and runs until next Friday, 31 January. Marketplace gives vendors a new way of selling supercars, performance and classic cars, motorcycles and registrations while also supporting a children’s charity.

Entries in the inaugural Marketplace sale include a stunning 2022 Porsche 992 Carrera 4 GTS, a potent 2011 Mitsubishi Evo X and an impressive 1975 Ford Escort RS2000.  Rarities on offer include a supercharged 1987 Toyota MR2 (a model not offered for sale in the UK and Europe) and a 2013 Renault Megane Red Bull coupe, number 14 of just 30 produced. Two-wheeled lots going under the virtual hammer include a 1977 Honda CB550 once owned and fully restored TV presenter and renowned motorcycle enthusiast, Henry Cole, a 2001 Yamaha R6, 2016 Ducati Panigale 959 and 2016 Ducati Panigale 1199, plus a trio of classic Ariels – a 1946 SQ4, 1958 Hunstmaster and 1958 Redhunter. There’s even a ready-to-race Jawa speedway bike.

Buyers can view the lots and bid live online 24/7. Each listing includes a full description and comprehensive selection of photographs, and interested parties can also request a Condition Report, including a detailed video, or even book an appointment to view the vehicle in person at Hampson’s headquarters in Cheshire.

Vehicles and cherished registrations will be showcased to Hampson’s global audience for seven days, giving fantastic exposure, further supported by listings on Hampson’s channels with The Saleroom, Bid Spotter and i-Bidder and promotion in Hampson’s e-newsletters and popular media channels. There’s no seller’s commission to pay – just a flat entry fee – and the 7% buyer’s premium makes Marketplace an attractive place to shop as well as to sell.

Hampson will split that 7% buyer’s premium, donating 1% of the hammer price of each lot to The Joshua Tree, a charity supporting families affected by childhood cancers. So, each sale really will make a difference.
