In 2023, the Continental GT S was named Best Grand Tourer, and in 2022, both the Continental GT Speed and Flying Spur Hybrid were recognized for Best Grand Tourer and Best Interior, respectively. Now in its 37^th year, Robb Report’s Best of the Best Awards have become one of the most prestigious honours in the luxury world, spanning 15 categories including fashion, automobiles, yachts, art, design, food, wine, and philanthropy.

(Crewe, 2 June 2025) The new Bentayga Speed is the most powerful, most dynamic and most exhilarating Bentley SUV yet. It eclipses even its acclaimed W12-engined predecessor, delivering increased power and performance along with the most dynamic chassis set-up ever offered on a Bentayga – including, for the first time, the ability to generate on-throttle slip angles in Bentley’s pinnacle performance SUV.

At its heart is a new twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine that produces 650 PS and 850 Nm of torque. This new powertrain is capable of accelerating Bentley’s SUV performance flagship from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and delivers a top speed of 193mph (310km/h)*. The new Bentayga Speed also features significant advances in dynamic capability – with an enhanced SPORT chassis mode and a new ESC Dynamic setting that brings maximum driver involvement and the choice between enhanced road-holding or the ability to slide the car on-power. The new chassis set up and powerful engine confirm the Bentayga Speed’s position as a new performance pinnacle for the luxury SUV.

New 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and a thrilling soundtrack
The Bentayga Speed’s new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivers exceptional performance, with peak power of 650 PS / 641 bhp / 478 kW and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds. These figures comprehensively surpass those of the Bentayga V8 S (4.4 seconds) as well as the 3.9 second mark set by the previous W12-engined Bentayga Speed. Peak torque of 850 Nm (627 lb.ft) is delivered between 2,250-4,500 rpm, with the characteristic Bentley “torque plateau” delivering the effortless wave of acceleration that’s a constant of Bentley performance.

The engine isn’t just more powerful than its predecessors – it’s also more characterful. As standard the Bentayga Speed is fitted with a Sports exhaust system, which delivers a rich, powerful engine note that complements the eager character of the High Powered V8 and promotes a deep sense of driver engagement. This exhaust can be distinguished externally by two elliptical tailpipes emerging through the rear diffuser. For an even more thrilling soundtrack, the optional Titanium Akrapovic Exhaust accentuates the power, drama and potency of the V8, with its aural expression of the performance that awaits at the merest flex of the throttle. This system features quad tailpipes.

Enhanced dynamic capabilities
Of the three driving modes available to drivers of the new Bentayga Speed, both COMFORT and BENTLEY modes remain unchanged in calibration compared with other Bentayga models, to retain exceptional day-to-day and grand touring competency. SPORT mode however is significantly enhanced, delivering increased steering response, roadholding and driver connection, enhanced by a 15% increase in suspension damping stiffness. Enhanced SPORT mode enables the driver to exploit the power of the V8 engine more fully when cornering and to experience the exceptionally agile turn-in capabilities of brake torque vectoring.

For the ultimate in braking capability and driver engagement, optional carbon ceramic brakes allow the selection of ESC Dynamic in SPORT mode, which relaxes ESC intervention to permit exhilarating drift angles or power-on oversteer where appropriate. Torque vectoring by brake allows for a sharper turn-in, and more power to be put to the road during corner exit – with improved driver confidence going hand-in-hand with the extra agility. Also included in ESC Dynamic programming is Launch Control, a first for any Bentayga model.

The Bentayga Speed now includes all-wheel steering. At low and medium speeds, the rear wheels are steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels to aid a rapid change of direction, noticeably increasing the feeling of agility and reducing the turning circle. The steering feels sharper, and a commensurate increase in steering feel provides greater driver confidence. At high speeds, the rear wheels steer in the same direction as the front, to improve stability.

Taken together, the new SPORT mode enhancements, optional carbon ceramic brakes, ESC Dynamic software and all-wheel steering set new levels of agility, roadholding and driver engagement. As the performance flagship of the line-up, Bentayga Speed simply recalibrates all one’s expectations of handling, roadholding, acceleration and steering response for a luxury SUV.

Powerful design statement
Distinctive exterior features of the new Bentayga Speed include dark tint brightware, bright chrome Speed badges on the leading edge of the front doors, and 22” Speed wheels in either dark tint or silver (the latter being a no cost option). Unique Speed headlamps feature dark tint internals and a dark tint bezel, while tail lamps are grey, again with a dark tint bezel. For the first time in Bentley’s history, a 23” Speed wheel is optionally available when carbon ceramic brakes are specified, and these come in a choice of grey satin, black or black and bright machined finishes. Painted calipers in a choice of seven striking colours are also available standard brakes and when choosing the carbon ceramic brake option.

Another option offered exclusively for the Bentayga Speed is the Speed black roof, which is finished in either gloss or satin, depending on the chosen body finish. The black roof, which includes the lower section of the tailgate spoiler, makes a powerful, assertive visual impact.

Performance focused interior
The interior design of the Bentayga Speed reflects its singular performance focus. Standard features include the Speed-specific driver information display, Speed badging to the passenger fascia and treadplates, and Speed embroidered emblem on the seat uppers. The familiar Bentley ‘bullseye’ air vents, organ stops, and central air vents can be finished in dark tint as well as the standard chrome. Seat shoulder panels, door inners and backboard (four-seat models) all feature a new Precision Diamond quilt design. For the upholstery, the Speed colour split features a darker secondary hide as the predominant colour, relieved by flashes of the main hide colour on seat outers, door and the instrument panel side cheeks.

Extending the limits
The new Bentayga Speed offers an extraordinary breadth of capabilities, with COMFORT and BENTLEY modes offering the perfect blend of pace, refinement, and relaxation for most driving conditions. Select SPORT mode however, and a new, more visceral and thrilling side to its character emerges. Through careful chassis enhancements and the adoption of the new High Powered 4.0 V8, Bentley’s engineers have created the most powerful and dynamic Bentayga ever, without losing an iota of what makes a Bentley, a Bentley.

(Crewe, 7 May 2025) Bentley Motors proudly announces its latest global collaboration with a leading luxury hotel, underscoring the growing demand for luxury, chauffeur-driven experiences. The Galaxy Hotel in Macau, China – one of the world’s largest Forbes double five-star properties – has taken delivery of the largest fleet of bespoke Flying Spur Mulliner sedans to date with an official handover ceremony at the hotel on 29 April. The nine handcrafted four-door Bentleys extend the resort’s legacy of superlative transport and bespoke luxury experiences, providing guests with a seamless blend of performance, elegance, and unparalleled craftsmanship.

Mulliner – Bentley Motors’ bespoke division – continues to set the standard in handcrafted automotive luxury. The Flying Spur Mulliner offers a striking visual distinction, combining bespoke craftsmanship with the Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain as standard. The Galaxy Hotel collaborated with the team at Mulliner to meticulously design the luxury sedans, offering a sense of timeless elegance crafted at the renowned Dream Factory in Crewe.

The Pinnacle in Automotive Craftsmanship
The new Flying Spur Mulliner is built around Bentley’s new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, endowing it with a breadth of capabilities. Capable of serene, silent progress in pure EV mode, the four-door sedan can travel for up to 47 miles (76 km), ideal for Zero Emission Zones or city travel, and with CO₂ emissions 90 per cent lower than the previous generation Flying Spur Speed. The full electric mode can be deployed at speeds of up to 87 mph / 140 km/h, with throttle applications of up to 75 per cent for a quiet and refined driving experience.   

The Mulliner versions define the pinnacle of the Bentley Flying Spur. On the exterior, the Pale Brodgar Mulliner paintwork is detailed with the signature emblem of The Galaxy Hotel, stenciled and hand-painted on the two front doors of each sedan. Custom Galaxy Hotel puddle lamps have also been commissioned to welcome guests as they step inside the cabin.

An Elegant Interior with Attention to Detail
In the interior, all four seats come specified with Wellness Seating as standard. This includes Seat Auto Climate and Postural Adjust, which measures and maintains the perfect body temperature via zoned heating and ventilation, and soothingly and seamlessly varies the pressure on the occupants’ muscles throughout their journey to ensure fatigue is minimised. The attention to detail is highlighted further with hand stitched logos of The Galaxy Hotel to the seats. The rear passenger doors open to reveal a further hand stitched emblem detail that tucks away neatly once the Soft-Close Doors shut effortlessly.

Luxury Journeys
Following the successful collaboration with The Peninsula London which saw four Bentayga hybrids become part of their in-house chauffeur fleet. Building on this relationship, The Peninsula Hong Kong commissioned a further eight Bentayga EWB Azures, now part of its house car offering. The Galaxy Macau Hotel, now securing the largest fleet of Flying Spurs in one location, reflects the growing appeal of Bentley among luxury hotels, who increasingly view the marque as the ultimate expression of refined, chauffeur-driven travel.

(Crewe, 8 April 2025) Bentley’s range of Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible and Flying Spur models has now doubled with the addition of a second V8 plug-in hybrid option, the High Performance Hybrid with an output of 680 PS.  This engine is offered across all bodystyles in a choice of new core or new Azure variants, the latter prioritising wellness and comfort.  Joining the 782PS Ultra Performance Hybrid unit introduced in 2024 as a Speed or Mulliner, Bentley’s two-door and four-door sedan models are now exclusively powered by electrified V8 engines.

The new Continental GT and Azure models mark the arrival of Bentley’s new High Performance Hybrid powertrain, which unites an advanced 4.0-litre V8 engine and powerful electric motor to develop a maximum power output of 680 PS and a maximum torque output of 930 Nm. Though the Ultra Performance Hybrid of the Speed remains the most extreme powertrain in Bentley’s range, it is significant that the new High Performance Hybrid outperforms the previous generation’s W12 Speed powertrain on all power, torque and performance parameters – whilst also being capable of up to 50 miles / 80 km in pure electric mode.

These nine cars together define Bentley’s family of performance-focused daily supercars, each bringing unique combinations of potent power, dynamic handling, exquisite design and true handcraftsmanship.

New Continental GT and GT Convertible – features
The new fourth generation Continental GT and GT Convertible core models showcase classic design cues that have been a feature of the model since the first generation was introduced in 2003. These include Bentley’s signature matrix grille, now finished in gloss black with a chrome surround and centre bar. The lower bumper grilles are finished in matt black, while the splitter is gloss black. The design of the striking ‘Harmony’ headlamps – with distinct differences from those of the GT Speed – is inspired by cut crystal and features a bespoke welcome animation. Exterior brightware is chrome, while at the rear two bright chrome tailpipe finishers stand out from the gloss black diffuser. Red lens taillights also feature the Harmony animation.

Seats for the new Continental GT and GT Convertible are hand-crafted in Crewe to a straight fluted design, while customers will have the choice of bright chrome or the optional dark chrome interior specification for switchgear, air vents, organ stops and door handles. Treadplates feature the inscription ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England’.

The V8 High Performance Hybrid powertrain develops a combined power output of 680 PS and a combined torque output of 930 Nm, endowing the new models with exceptional performance. The 0-60 mph sprint takes a mere 3.5 seconds for the new Continental GT (0-100 km/h in 3.7 secs), while the figure for the Continental GT Convertible is scarcely less impressive at 3.8 secs (0-100 km/h in 3.9 secs). Electric-only range is 53 miles / 85 km for the GT and 51 miles / 82 km for the GTC, with overall CO₂ figures in hybrid mode as low as 29 g/km and 31 g/km respectively.

The Bentley Active Chassis technology includes Dynamic Ride, Rear Wheel Steering and eLSD with a choice of Comfort, Bentley and Sport modes. Together, the powertrain and chassis deliver refined, surefooted, progressive and accessible performance in a wide variety of road conditions.

New Continental GT Azure and GT Convertible Azure
Elegant design, a lavish specification and a strong focus on wellbeing are the distinguishing features of the new Azure models. This is apparent from the very first impression of the exterior’s new gloss black matrix grille with its bright chrome surround and vertical vanes. Beneath this, a gloss black front splitter provides a contrast to bright grilles on the front bumper and lower intakes. A new silver and bright machined 22” Azure wheel design, and Azure badging on the front fender, complete the exterior package. Inside, the seats and door inners feature new 3D Harmony diamond quilting with the Azure embroidered on the seat headrests.

An extensive specification includes Wellness seating, open pore crown cut walnut veneer trim, Azure interior treadplates with illumination and contrast stitching on the leather upholstery. The Touring, Comfort and Lighting Specification packages are also standard. The Continental GT Azure includes a panoramic sunroof, while the Continental GT Convertible Azure is equipped with the neck warmer for comfortable roof-down motoring in cooler weather. 

New Flying Spur
The new Flying Spur’s High Performance Hybrid powertrain and Bentley Active Chassis put it second only to the Flying Spur Speed as a way of covering distance swiftly, safely and comfortably for up to five occupants. The benchmark 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.9 secs) attests to exhilarating performance, yet its supple ride, interior space and refinement make long journeys feel effortless.

Visually, the new Flying Spur is distinguished by its gloss black matrix grille, matt black lower bumper grilles, chrome brightware and oval bright chrome tailpipe finishers. The interior includes straight fluted seats with Bentley embroidered emblems on the headrests, and bright chrome for switchgear, bezels, air vents and door handles. An alternative dark chrome interior specification is optionally available.

New Flying Spur Azure
As with the Continental GT Azure, the new Flying Spur Azure features a new black gloss matrix grille with chrome surround and 11 vertical vanes. Other distinguishing features include Azure fender badging, bright chrome lower grilles, chrome brightware and the new 22” Azure wheel, which is finished in a combination of silver and bright machined metal. The Azure elements are available both in chrome finish and in dark gloss Blackline Specification.

All Azure models focus on reducing stress and promoting wellbeing, complemented by driver assistance technologies for smoother, safer journeys. Accordingly, both the two front seats and the two outer rear seats of the Flying Spur Azure feature Bentley’s Wellness seating, with heating and ventilation to maintain the occupant’s optimum temperature for comfort and alertness. A massage function with six programmable settings promotes the constant micro-adjustments in muscle and posture that are essential in preventing fatigue.

Other tactile and visual delights include mood lighting, Harmony quilting to the door inners and seats, Azure embroidered headrests, open pore crown cut walnut trim and the Touring, Comfort and Mood Lighting specification packages. As a finishing touch, illuminated Bentley treadplates feature the Azure name.

A Bentley for all reasons
With the arrival of the new models alongside the acclaimed Speed variants, Bentley customers can now choose the Continental GT, GT Convertible or Flying Spur that most closely reflects their aesthetic values and driving priorities. (Crewe, 19 March 2025) Bentley Motors today lays the ground on its new BEV assembly line located in the oldest building at the Pyms Lane site while announcing its sixth consecutive year of profitability with record levels of personalisation. Both help to self-finance a record site investment underlining a long-term commitment to UK manufacturing as Bentley prepares to introduce its first BEV to the market in 2027.              

Balancing the site investment expenditure, record levels of personalisation – with 70 per cent of customers choosing a Mulliner bespoke option – resulted in the highest ever revenue per car, increasing 10 per cent in the past two years. This generated a revenue of €2.648 billion, and operating profit of €373 million. A return on sales of 14.1 per cent – one of the best across the automotive industry – reflected upfront expenditures for future products and planned reduced volumes due to lifecycle effects.             

Bentley’s latest financial performance support the company’s industry-leading Beyond100+ strategy, as it drives towards self-funding its ambition of being exclusively electric by 2035 and introducing a new hybrid or electric model every year for the next decade.

2024 was a year of transition for Bentley’s brand-defining Continental GT model.  The third generation gave way for the fourth meaning the end of W12 engine production in Crewe and the introduction of all new ultra-performance V8 hybrid powertrain. This was also introduced in the Flying Spur four-door sedan towards the end of the year. Both were launched initially in highly positioned Speed and Mulliner derivatives. Lower powered derivatives follow in 2025.

Confirming Bentley’s long-term commitment to Crewe, work today continues on the luxury marque’s carbon neutral Pyms Lane factory and the brand’s preparations for BEV production. Construction has today started to transform the oldest building on site, A1, to become the future BEV assembly line.               

The new facilities aim to set a new benchmark in next generation, digital, flexible and high-value manufacturing operations. This follows the recent opening of the state-of-the-art Excellence Centre for Quality & Launch and a new Paint Shop, offering an expanded paint colour choice of near 100 individual colours to customers, nearing completion later this year. These investments consolidate Bentley’s long-term commitment to its Beyond100+ strategy and UK manufacturing for generations to come.                 

Historical six-year performance

(Crewe, 4 March 2025) Bentley Motors has officially broken ground on its new Integrated Logistics Centre at its historic Crewe headquarters, marking a crucial step in preparing for the luxury marque’s all-electric future. Designed to enhance operational efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability, the facility will support the production of all future Bentley BEVs, while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to its Beyond100+ strategy.

The 11,620 sqm centre will support material processing and delivery to assembly lines, introducing advanced kitting and sequencing capabilities to optimise the handling of both small and large parts. By increasing the onsite storage footprint by 35 per cent, Bentley will reduce reliance on external warehousing and transportation.

For the first time in the Volkswagen Group, Bentley will implement a cutting-edge automated storage concept – an innovative storage and retrieval system that enhances process stability and improves material sequencing.

The facility has been designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind, to ensure seamless logistics operations, with a direct connectivity to production operations. Inside, a three-storey mezzanine will house: a visitor room, canteen, offices, training rooms, plant equipment and a viewing platform for operational oversight.

(Crewe, 11 February 2025) Bentley Motors has officially opened its new state-of-the-art Excellence Centre for Quality & Launch. The new facility, opened today by Gunnar Kilian, Member of the Board of Management at Volkswagen AG, and Bentley’s Board of Management, will be pivotal to the brand’s preparations for the first Bentley BEV. The world’s first Urban Luxury SUV will be launched next year and today’s opening sets a key milestone in transforming the 85-year old site for a new age of electrification.                  

Bentley’s industry-leading Beyond100+ strategy will see the company reinvent its entire product range to support an electrified future. The company’s new digital, zero environmental impact, manufacturing and quality facility will support new technologies and the development of Bentley’s first BEV, setting a new benchmark for best-in-class luxury cars of the future.    

The Excellence Centre for Quality & Launch is located across two floors, covering a total of 8,000 sqm. The centre houses a production proving ground and a mini assembly line to test future BEV assembly. It also includes a technical centre for future materials testing, high precision dimensional measurement, vehicle analysis and reliability. All dedicated to ensuring the quality, performance and longevity expected of every luxury car.

A lushly landscaped beach club and ocean front pool deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean will be lined with cabanas where residents can take advantage of food and beverage service. The Fitness Centre will offer an outdoor terrace complete with yoga studio and ocean views. 

A suite of new renders has been released giving a preview of the luxurious communal spaces, wellness, and lifestyle amenities, as well as the plans for the private residences themselves. Each of these spaces has been designed to ensure that residents experience Bentley as a part of their journey, both in and out of the building.  

Bentley designers have led the design of the project, working closely with Dezer Development and Sieger Suarez Architects. Their expertise has shaped the exquisitely designed building and its interior, and they have worked hard to carefully integrate Bentley design throughout each and every corner. 

Ben Saltmer, Bentley Product and Lifestyle Design Manager, adds: “We have applied the same attention to detail that goes into our cars into this very building. Each space is different, but with distinctive Bentley design cues styled harmoniously throughout – right down to a functional area like the Bentley Pet Spa concept. Despite practicality being paramount, the area should have an elevated experience. We achieve this through exquisite materiality and subtle Bentley design signatures, an ethos we’ve followed throughout the design of the building – for instance in the pet spa, we’ve used the Bentley diamond motif when giving the surfaces a non-slip quality. This diamond signature extends graphically to the shelving above the main bath area that houses towels, shampoos, and pet-friendly fragrances. Looking at how the space could be used; the intention is that the space should be intuitive. The pet is guided up the steps (if needed), washed in the bath, guided up to the grey marble surface for drying, then guided down the steps once dry. This is a practical space but also a luxurious sanctuary for pet and owner.”

The environment of each communal area of the Bentley Residences has been carefully considered. The aim is to bring residents together as a community, fostering an atmosphere of relaxation, while remaining social.  Each space has been carefully curated to maximise comfort and luxury, and to subtly bring Bentley’s design DNA throughout each detail.        

The cinema has been designed to mimic the concept of a Bentley car interior. Ben Saltmer explains, “A cosseting sofa wraps around the back of the rear three walls, embracing residents in the space. The games room is state of the art, equipped with VR headsets, and simulators both for golf and for driving. The whisky bar design is inspired by the iconic matrix grille of Bentley’s cars. Suspended from the ceiling, the bar appears to be weightless and floating.”

The Bentley Residences will bring to life a transformative wellness offering, giving residents a space to connect, re-energise and relax through complete sensorial immersion.

(Crewe, 8 November 2024) Bentley Motors has proudly unveiled its latest tribute to the Armed Forces, a one-of-a-kind Bentayga EWB Mulliner, specially designed for Remembrance Day in the UK. The bespoke poppy-themed design, developed by Bentley’s design team in collaboration with the colleague-led BeReady network serves as a powerful reminder of the 80^th anniversary of D-Day and Bentley’s ongoing commitment to remembrance and honouring those who have served.

Bentley unites its commitment to craftsmanship and remembrance with the unveiling of this unique Bentayga EWB Mulliner, specially wrapped to commemorate Remembrance Day. This striking tribute features a design of 80 poppies rising from a map of northern France, symbolising Bentley’s recognition of those who served and the legacy they leave behind. Each poppy marks a sacrifice made in the pursuit of peace, reflective of the journey from England’s south coast to northern Europe on D-Day, a powerful expression of unity and respect through historical symbolism.

The Bentayga’s streamlined exterior transforms into a mobile tribute, with vibrant red poppies emerging from a map that wraps around the vehicle. This design represents the sacrifices made by servicemen and women around the globe, each poppy standing as a testament to courage. The bright red petals contrast beautifully with the car’s elegant finish, drawing attention to the importance of remembrance from all angles. With each journey, the Bentayga becomes a moving symbol of history and hope, bridging past, present, and future in one iconic image of respect.

This commemorative project is especially meaningful to Bentley’s BeReady network, one of five Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) networks, which provides a supportive space for veterans and acting reservists. For the network’s members, who value the design deeply as a way to reflect on bravery and sacrifice, the Remembrance Car stands as a powerful reminder of shared heritage.

The Remembrance Car will embark on a journey across the UK to mark this year’s events, making key appearances as a symbol of reflection and respect, starting with the local community in Crewe. Over the weekend, the car will feature prominently at the Race of Remembrance in Anglesey, organised by Mission Motorsport, where it will serve as the course car in an event uniting a community in remembrance. The car returns to Bentley’s Crewe headquarters on 11 November, where Bentley colleagues will gather in reflection. On 13 November, the car will be displayed at the His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire Awards, embodying Bentley’s ongoing commitment to honouring and supporting the Armed Forces.
